I love simple elegant answers to what seem complicated problems.
I have had problems with my engine warning light coming on periodically. I took it to the workshop and after some testing could not find anything wrong. A few months later a friend explained to me that if I had not closed the gas cap tight enough – that could lead to a loss of vacuum and hence the warning light. Sure enough I tightened my cap and the problem went away.
I was fortunate enough to experience such divine simplicity with a client of mine who was diagnosed with ‘Peripheral Neuropathy’. This is a condition where the nerves on ones hands and legs are inflamed and the damage can cause a lack of sensation.
We are taught in medical school that the majority of cases of peripheral neuropathy has no known cause (in medical lingo: idiopathic). However since leaving the current mainstream medical model, I have learned that many of these cases can be due to an allergy to gluten.
I have also examined studies that show that the nutrients alpha lipoic acid, benfotiamine (a form of vitamin B1) and the spice Nutmeg can help it. So when this client came in he got ’the works.’
Being a researcher and author himself, he further researched possible cures for neuropathy. He found a study that showed a substance called “Acetyl carnitine arginate’ was often helpful for this condition. He started taking it and within five days, his neuropathy of two years had disappeared! I tried this combination with other patients and have had very encouraging results. For a condition that is classified as incurable
Elegant solutions. They are out there for even the most complicated diseases. We just have to find them.
