Thomas Alexander M.D got his MD and a served residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Missouri, Kansas City in 1998. He then did ten months of an Endocrinology Fellowship before joining a medical practice in Butler, Missouri.

After practicing in a mainstream medical clinic for five years, he was better able to appreciate the drawbacks and the strengths of the current approach to medicine. He then worked with Dr. Jonathan Wright, renowned author, pioneer in Integrative Medicine and founder of the use of Bio-identical Hormones in North America for two and a half years.

Dr. Alexander believes in a whole-person approach to healing. He believes that interventions are more effective as we uncover deeper reasons for a loss of optimum health. Dr. Alexander regards as primary the role of understanding and education in bringing about the change to good health.

While Dr. Alexander has resisted the temptation to specialize in a single field, he has particular interests in diabetes, adrenal problems, male and female hormonal issues, the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease and gastrointestinal problems.

He has lectured both to his peers and to the general public on Adrenal Fatigue, Insulin Resistance and diabetes.

Dr. Alexander has practiced both inpatient and outpatient medicine in addition to about 1500 hours of shifts at the Emergency Department. During the five years in Butler he held various posts at Bates County Hospital including Chief of Staff, Medical Director of CCU, Medical Director of Respiratory Care and Medical director of Hospice.

Dr. Alexander is board certified in Internal Medicine.

In 2008 Dr Alexander was led to start his clinic, here in Scottsdale, AZ.
